Meet Dr. Cristina Bautista
Dr. Cristina Bautista is a bilingual (English/Spanish) psychotherapist and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), independently licensed in the states of California, Texas, and Florida. She has been practicing psychotherapy since 2011, after earning her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Phoenix, San Diego, and her Doctorate Degree in Psychology from Southern California Seminary, San Diego.
Following the completion of her graduate program, Mrs. Cristina Bautista worked for four years as a Bilingual Child, Youth, and Family Clinician at several community outpatient mental health clinics and Substance Abuse programs in San Diego, California. She also completed three years of post-doctorate hours at various inpatient hospitals in San Diego. In her roles, she conducted weekly evaluations for new clients and provided diagnostic assessments for children between the ages of 5 and 18, adults, and geriatric patients, utilizing the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th Edition (DSM-5). The majority of her clients had experienced or witnessed significant trauma and presented with moderate to severe mental health symptoms related to diagnoses such as Depression, Anxiety, Conduct Disorder, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
After becoming a licensed clinician, Mrs. Cristina Bautista established her private practice, where she continues to provide psychological evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and therapy services for adults coping with a range of psychiatric disorders and life stressors. She has completed training, where she received specialized training in EMDR.
